For our client we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Engineers (5 FTE´s) to support and enhance telecom business systems built on Apache OFBiz.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Apache OFBiz applications and components in a telecom enterprise environment.
  • Develop and customize Java-based modules within the OFBiz framework to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Manage application deployments and performance tuning on Apache Tomcat servers.
  • Perform application and system administration tasks on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Integrate OFBiz with external systems such as CRM, billing, inventory, and provisioning platforms.
  • Ensure system stability, scalability, and data integrity through effective configuration management and version control.
  • Participate in testing, debugging, and production support of OFBiz-based applications.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and custom modules.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Apache OFBiz framework.
  • Strong Java development skills.
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat.
  • Proficiency in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and SQL scripting.
  • Understanding of telecom business processes (e.g., order management, customer management, inventory, billing).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps tools for application deployment and automation.
  • Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background in telecom BSS/OSS systems or enterprise ERP/CRM platforms.

 

The work will begin in January 2026 and the employment will be through Temp-Team Finland Oy. The position follows a hybrid work model, allowing you to work partly remotely and partly at our client’s office in Helsinki. This is a fixed-term position until July, 2026.
